Treviso – located a short drive from our campsites in Venice, is the ancient city of Treviso, a small city which has great cultural and historical importance as a Roman centre. Wander the fascinating maze of back streets and warren of lanes, many of which lead out to the canals and river.

Aqualandia – while camping in Venice you can take a day trip to this amazing water park. Go on an adrenaline pumping ride on the Spacemaker – Europe’s highest water slide – or you can enjoy the quieter pace of some of the gentler river rides.

Zoo Punte Verde – children will love the environment and conservation workshops run by these private zoological gardens. They are home to a variety of animals and can be easily visited whilst camping, as Venice is very close by.

Burano & Murano – From your campsite in Venice you can visit these nearby islands of the lagoon. Murano is best known for its delicate, brightly coloured glass, and Burano’s intricate lace-making is renowned worldwide.

Lido di Jesolo – home to one of the longest beaches in the area, this popular seaside town is easily reached from your campsite in Venice. It is a lively and fun town with great beach facilities and activities for the whole family.

Recommended Routes to Italy


Short Sea Crossing
The most direct route is via Germany. Travel to Calais or Zeebrugge and stop en route at our Saarburg or Steinach sites or at a hotel. It's 775 miles from Calais to the sites on Lake Garda.

By Air
There are many low-cost airlines operating routes into Italy. Fly in to Pisa, Milan, Rome, Bergamo, Venice or Trieste and you will be on site in no time at all!

From Ireland
We recommend you take a Landbridge crossing to the UK, then take a crossing as detailed above.
