Available on 5 of our best family-friendly campsites, FamilyExtra is our all-action activity programme for the whole family. With activities ranging from fast and furious water sports to arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone. And best of all, it’s absolutely free.

FamilyExtra activities for 0-3s

Our baby and toddler sessions are packed with fun-filled activities designed specifically for the youngest family members. Activities encourage children to have fun and learn new skills, all under the watchful eye of our trained FamilyExtra couriers. We do ask that one parent stays throughout the session – a great opportunity to meet other parents!

Activities for 4-7s

Kids this age have bags of energy so we make sure their FamilyExtra sessions are action-packed and fun. They’ll love messing around with our face paints and costumes or learning about local wildlife on Mini Beast Safari, not to mention the pirate adventures and chocolate parties!

Activities for 8-11s

Older children like a challenge, so trust Canvas to come up with a whole range of great activities just for them. There’s fun to be had raft-building and canoeing, not to mention Aeroball, a thrilling mix of trampolining and volleyball.

And don’t worry if your pre-teen is the quieter type, our fully-trained staff will tailor the programme to meet everyone’s needs.

Activities for teenagers

FamilyExtra offers a great place for teenagers to hang out and try something new. The weekly programme offers exciting pool based activities such as canoeing and snorkelling, and action-packed sessions like Circus Skills, Disc Golf, Movie Maker and Aeroball.

Activities for all the family

With FamilyExtra, the whole family can join in. Our couriers organise regular family events, giving you the opportunity to share new experiences, make new friends, learn new skills – but most of all have loads of fun.

There’s an amazing variety of free sessions, from cheese and wine evenings to tug o’ war competitions. Take part in a family Aeroball competition, go for gold at the Canvas family Olympics, or learn to juggle with Circus Skills.

Safety as a priority

Canvas Holidays have teamed up with outdoor activity specialists In2action to create FamilyExtra.

In2action are members of the Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and British Activity Providers Association (BAPA). Their teams are qualified in Child Protection and Welfare from the NSPCC and every member of staff within In2action is DBS (formerly CRB) checked and go through a rigorous 14-day training programme.

When is FamilyExtra available?

Easter

FamilyExtra will run from 31 March - to 20 April 2018 on Camping la Croix du Vieux Pont, Berny Rivière only.

May and summer school holidays

FamilyExtra will run from 26 May 2018 until 2 September 2018 on the 5 campsites listed below, except on Camping La Palombière, Sarlat, where it runs from 30 June - 2 September 2018..

October school holidays 

FamilyExtra will also run on Camping la Croix du Vieux Pont during the October half term, from 20 - 27 October 2018.
