The resorts of Platja de Llevant in Benidorm or Platja del Postiguet in Alicante are ideal for lively days out by the sea, where sunbathing and sandcastle building can be enjoyed by the whole family. For a serene and scenic coastal experience, head to the peaceful sands found at Playa de Ambolo, Cala Tío Ximo and Granadella beach. One of the best ways to explore the Costa Blanca is to hire a bicycle and go for a cycle along the picturesque coastline. A little further inland, keen hikers and walkers will love traversing the shaded trails found in the beautiful Montgó Natural Park, a mountainous area with amazing vistas. Culture vultures are well placed to seek out places of notable historical significance, with fine examples on display at the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, Santa Bárbara Castle and the Palace of Altamira.

Young campers can fill every second of their camping holiday in the Costa Blanca with fun experiences, such as days out at thrilling water parks and theme parks. The slides and water attractions at Aqua Natura, Aqualandia, Aquopolis Torrevieja and Aquapark Flamingo make for a splashing day out.
