Fly-drive camping holidays

Why fly-drive to your holiday in Europe
Many of our parks and campsites are located close to major airports, so flying then driving can be a fast and convenient option for travelling from the UK and Ireland to your holiday in Europe. You can hire a car, take a train or use public transport to reach your campsite from the airport.
We don’t book flights, but we’re happy to hold your booking for a few hours to give you time to book your air travel – just phone our sales advisers once you've decided on your accommodation.
Go further, get there quicker, stay longer
Fly-drive brings all our campsites within easy reach. If you've got limited time for your holiday, flying means you can be at your campsite within a matter of hours.
If you usually pick Brittany or the Vendée, why not try camping in the south of France, Italy or Spain or see a different side of Europe in Croatia?
Work out how to get there and how to get around with our travel planner map or with an online route finder before you set out. You’ll find GPS coordinates for each park and campsite on our campsite pages as well as the full address and map.
If you can’t decide on just one campsite, why not fly in and out of different airports for a multi-stay holiday?
Car or no car?
A hire car can be an asset if you want to stray off the beaten track and explore the region. Hiring a car gives you the freedom to choose where you want to go, when you want to go. If you'd prefer to take your own car then check out our self drive camping holidays.
But if you don’t like driving or prefer to enjoy a glass of wine with lunch, many of our campsites have excellent public transport links to and from the airport and local attractions – perfect for a car-free holiday. You can also book an airport transfer in advance to your park or campsite.
Travelling light
Fly-drive means being a bit more careful with your packing. But that’s not a problem because all Canvas accommodation types are fully equipped and most of our campsites have well-stocked shops.
All our accommodation includes pillows and blankets, and many parks and campsites have a towel and linen hire service. Check out our campsite pages for what’s available at each location. We can provide cots and high chairs, and some sites even have buggies for hire.
Travelling the convenient way
The best thing about taking your own car on holiday is there are no baggage restrictions on what you can pack or bring home with you. If it fits inside your car, you can take it with you.
Take whatever you need. Bags squash into the boot and there’s plenty of room for toys, games and a picnic. Just remember to leave room for the goodies and any duty free you might bring back with you from the Continent.
