Set in an unusual island location between the Rhine and the Alsace Grand Canal, Campsite L'Ile du Rhin is a mid-sized resort offering a serene and calm ambiance. Just a stone’s throw from France’s border with Germany, the campsite nestles in the Haut-Rhin department of the Grand Est region and provides holidaymakers with a richly natural destination that’s perfect for outdoor family breaks.
Although the campsite doesn’t have a swimming pool, guests can easily enjoy splashing around at the Sirenia Pays Rhin-Brisach swimming pool that can be found next to the resort. Back onsite, competitive families can play a selection of sports including table tennis, pétanque, volleyball, football and basketball, while active kids will cherish time spent at the mini club and the playground.
A range of services and amenities are available to campers, including a bar, takeaway, bread delivery service and snack bar. Holidaymakers will have to venture to the nearby towns of Biesheim, Neuf-Brisach and Volgelsheim for restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets, but all are within easy reach of the campsite.
A stay at L'Ile du Rhin gives holidaymakers the chance to reconnect with nature, especially in the surroundings of our accommodation options that occupy leafy green emplacements. Featuring spacious living areas, a selection of convenient amenities and equipped kitchens, our mobile homes are the ideal place to enjoy a camping break with the comforts of home.
In the immediate area around the campsite, guests can enjoy a range of activities focused on the river and canal. Along with scenic bike rides and sociable strolls, campers can float along the gentle waters on a blissful boat ride. A little farther afield, traditional Alsatian villages and towns fill day trips with history, heritage and no shortage of nostalgia.
One of the region’s most visited towns is Colmar, a scenic destination adorned with gorgeous half-timbered houses, streets filled with blooming flowers and remnants from a medieval past. The top tourist attractions in Colmar include the Unterlinden Museum, Château du Hohlandsbourg and Little Venice.
