Nestled in the Rhone-Alps of South Eastern France, Camping Ravoire can be found less than a mile from the shores of Lake Annecy, and only a 25 minute drive from Annecy itself.
Rows of hedges and small shrubs provide privacy around the campsite, with glorious views of the surrounding mountains visible at every angle.
The campsite is an ideal base for those looking for somewhere to relax after a busy day enjoying many of the activities on offer on or around the lake. Active families can make the most of the cycle path which runs by the campsite north to Annecy.
The small and friendly village of Doussard is just over 2 miles from Camping Ravoire and has a supermarket. From here you can catch the ferry, which travels around the lake stopping at various towns and villages.
There are many great beaches along the lakeside with opportunity to take a dip in the lake or try one of the exciting water sports on offer such as canoeing, sailing, windsurfing or paragliding.
Visiting the Cave and Waterfall of Seythenex is a fantastic day out, and the only tourist caves in Haute Savoie. Enjoy a guided tour underground before making your way 45 metres to the top of the waterfall – and if you’re brave enough, zip line 150 metres over the falls.
A visit to Annecy is a must while staying in the region. The city, which is nicknamed ‘Venice of the Alps’ is the perfect place to relax, wander through the narrow streets, do a bit of shopping and explore the old town.
