Sitting at the foot of the Albères mountains where the Pyrénées plunge down to the sea, Campsite Le Roussillonnais is the ideal base for sunny Mediterranean Sea holidays and exploring the French Catalan region. Just two miles from the popular tourist resort of Argelès-sur-Mer and its beautiful beaches, the site is set in 11 hectares of picturesque pine forest.
Although the campsite doesn’t have a pool complex, Le Roussillonnais boasts direct access to a sandy beach, where holidaymakers can enjoy days soaking up the sun or swimming in the warm waters of the sea. As the local area is home to several water sports providers, campers can make a splash by enjoying a variety of aquatic activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, sea kayaking, windsurfing and much more.
The campsite offers a wide range of activities, including a site-run children’s club in high season, sports on the multi-use recreational ground and table tennis. There’s also evening entertainment with karaoke and theme nights. Tennis, sailing and horse riding are available a short distance from the campsite.
To ensure that guests can enjoy a camping holiday with optimal comfort and convenience, the resort features a selection of services such as a restaurant serving local dishes and popular favourites in a relaxed environment. Other useful amenities at the site include a bar, bread delivery service, mini-market, snack bar and ice cream stand.
Offering ample peace and privacy, the well-designed emplacements of the campsite feature plenty of shade from tall fragrant pine trees. Our accommodation options include modern mobile homes with a range of convenient facilities.
As the campsite lies close to the lively seaside resort of Argelès-sur-Mer, holidaymakers will have the chance to find an excellent selection of bars and restaurants quickly and easily. The highlights of the town for kids include Canyoning Park Aqua Park and Luna Park Amusement Park. Take a guided tour around the Valley of the Tortoises, home to over forty different species of tortoise. For an action filled day, try horse riding excursions from nearby stables or go-karting.
