Elevate your next holiday by booking a stay at 5* Campsite Val de Cantobre, a beautiful resort perched high in the mountains of Midi-Pyrénées in the department of Aveyron. This terraced site has an unrivalled setting high in the hills in the heart of the Grands Causses regional park, with views towards the cliff-top village of Cantobre.
The pool complex at the resort is excellent, and features a whole host of aquatic amenities including a main pool, two paddling pools, a selection of water slides and a lazy river. The spacious sun terrace has plenty of loungers and offers gorgeous views of the surrounding green hills and blue skies.
Recreational facilities at the campsite are extensive, with several sports available such as football, basketball, paddle tennis, ping-pong, mini golf and petanque. Young holidaymakers are encouraged to enrol in the Adventureclub, where the resort mascots Alex and Sammy take little ones on fantastic adventures with exciting tasks. Other supervised activities at the site include dinosaur fossil hunting and Fun 2 Dance sessions.
The facilities at the resort are excellent, and are housed in a beautifully converted mill. The lovely oak-beamed restaurant serves up traditional cuisine of the region along with familiar French dishes and good options for children. The resort also features a bar and snack bar, as well as a small shop and laundrette.
Our emplacements at Val de Cantobre are generally spacious with some offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, and provide the setting for our range of modern mobile homes.
The site lies on the edge of a beautiful national park, a half hour walk or a five minute drive from the town of Nant which has a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The lively town of Millau, with its interesting old quarter, is 17 miles away. The tallest bridge in the world connects the motorway networks at Millau. Sitting 900ft above the river Tarn, this amazing feat of engineering is a must-see.
For spectacular scenery, take a boat trip or canoe descent on the river Tarn starting from La Malène, (1 hr drive). It’s worth a visit to the ancient, naturally formed rock village of Montpellier-le-Vieux, as well as visiting the limestone plateaus of Les Grandes Causses.
