While the pool onsite ensures that holidaymakers can enjoy swimming if it rains, the best place to go swimming when the sun shines is at the nearby beach of Ouistreham.
The campsite is a great holiday destination for children, as it features a nice outdoor playground. One of the best activities to enjoy as a family is to hire bicycles from reception before embarking on a picturesque cycling trip along the canal. The location of the campsite is close to an abundance of historical sites relating to World War 2, including the D-Day crossing point of Pegasus Bridge, and of course, the D-Day Landing Beaches. Travelling south from the campsite, and holidaymakers will arrive at Caen, the capital of Calvados. Along with Mémorial de Caen, the best sightseeing opportunities in the city include L'Abbaye-aux-Hommes, the Museum of Normany, Caen Castle and Caen Botanical Gardens.
