The National Park of Grand Sasso and Monti della Laga is under an hour’s drive away and is home to three mountain ranges including the highest peak of the Apennines and the only glacier in Southern Europe, Calderone. The park is home to a magnificent range of wildlife including golden eagles and falcons. You can explore the park on foot, horse-back or mountain bike.
