One of our best-loved resorts in Tuscany, Campsite Le Pianacce is blessed with a lovely hillside setting that offers beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside. Nestled in a patch of green land in Castagneto Carducci near Livorno, this popular destination features a family friendly ambiance, excellent facilities and an enviable location close to the best attractions of Tuscany.
The best place to enjoy the balmy climate and soothing rays of the Mediterranean Sun is at the resort’s fantastic pool complex. With a main family pool and separate children’s pool, there’s plenty of opportunity to take a refreshing swim. Youngsters will love the slides, water cannons, splash buckets and gushing geysers of the complex’s splash playground.
Campers who like to keep active can serve up aces on the tennis court, dig/set/spike on the volleyball court or hit the back of the net on the football pitch. The running track onsite is popular with joggers while the bike rental service provides the ideal method for exploring the beauty of the Tuscan landscape around the resort. For junior campers, a vibrant Kid’s Club organised by the animation team organises creative workshop, sports tournaments and treasure hunts.
As with any holiday in Italy, it’s tradition to sample delicious thin crust pizza and tangle your fork around sumptuous pasta dishes. At the campsite’s Bella Vista restaurant, you can enjoy both as well as many other favourite Italian and Mediterranean cuisines. At the poolside bar, campers can quench their thirst with refreshing non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails, while the ice cream parlour serves sublime scoops of gelato throughout the day. Other useful services onsite include hot showers, a mini market, laundry and bike rental.
We have a fantastic range of accommodation at Le Pianacce, including glamping tents for a true camping experience as well as more homely mobile homes featuring spacious living areas and useful amenities. Enveloped by leafy green foliage and shade bearing trees, our emplacements offer a serene and scenic atmosphere.
The campsite’s close proximity to the coast benefits holidaymakers with the chance to visit a selection of blissful Tuscan beaches. With golden sands and turquoise waters, the beaches of Castiglioncello, Vada and Marina di Donoratico are excellent places to enjoy a day out on the Etruscan Coast.
A highlight of any holiday to Tuscany, day trips to the region’s magical cities and towns will live long in the memory. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and the Boboli Gardens are among the best things to see in Florence, while the famous leaning tower is Pisa's most popular attraction. In Livorno, visitors can soak up the history and culture of the city as well as stopping by great sightseeing spots such as Terrazza Mascagni Seaside Plaza, Montenero Sanctuary and the city's excellent aquarium.
