Located in balmy Costa Blanca, 4* Campsite Almafra is the perfect destination for sun-soaked holidays in Spain. Blessed with a fantastic selection of facilities for a truly memorable outdoor escape, the site nestles in the peaceful resort of Alfaz de Pi, around two miles from the bright lights and golden beaches of Benidorm.
Holidays at the campsite centre around the fabulous swimming complex that features an outdoor pool with adjoining children’s pool with water slides. There is plenty of space to soak up the sun on the pool’s immaculately tended lawns. Located in Almafra’s fitness studio, the indoor pool is heated to ensure campers can swim all year round.
When the kids aren’t making a splash in the pool, they’ll be taking a big hop, step and jump to the onsite playground or engaging in a selection of sports such as basketball, tennis and football. The site-run mini club ensures that every second of their holiday will be filled with fun things to do and plenty of laughs and smiles. The site also features a games room where holidaymakers can escape the heat of the midday sun while enjoying arcade games and table football.
Showcasing seasonal produce and Mediterranean flavours, the restaurant at Almafra has a bar as well as a pleasant outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. A dedicated sports bar serves light bites and drinks, and is a great place to watch sporting events throughout the year. Other services at the campsite include 24hr reception, wellness area, supermarket and library.
The emplacements of the campsite are best described as spacious and serene, and are blessed with an abundance of shade-bearing and fragrant pine trees. Nestled in these peaceful pitches, our accommodation options include modern mobile homes with roomy living areas and convenient amenities.
Benidorm needs little introduction. The one-time fishing village is today a lively holiday resort. Almafra is located one mile away from the centre of the resort in Alfaz del Pi.
Obviously, the stunning beaches of the resort are one of the main reasons Benidorm is so popular with tourists. Sun-worshiping aside, there are plenty of attractions in the town, including the popular Aqualandia Water Park (2.5 miles) and the Terra Mitica theme park (5.5 miles). In stark contrast, the old town is delightful to explore, with cool narrow streets and whitewashed houses.
For holidaymakers who have their own transport, a visit to Alicante is well worthwhile. Top attractions at this picturesque port city include the medieval castle of Santa Bárbara, the palm tree lined seaside walk of Explanada de España and the Archaeological Museum of Alicante.
