Enjoying a peaceful location just 50m from the blue flag beaches of Alcossebre on the charming Costa del Azahar, Campsite Playa Tropicana offers holidaymakers the chance to savour a sunny seaside stay in Spain. This beautiful region has miles of golden sandy beaches and secret coves, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
The site itself has an exotic feel, with a palm fringed swimming pool offering wonderful sea views, and comprising of a main pool with modern facilities and a separate paddling pool for children with a safety barrier for the peace of mind of parents. The swimming complex also features an indoor pool and Jacuzzi with air-conditioning.
If you’re looking for some activities out of the water, there are volleyball, basketball and table tennis facilities. The resort has a spacious lounge area where campers can escape the heat of the afternoon sun for a little while and watch sports or play pool, table football and darts. For kids, there is a dedicated playground and a vibrant min club that runs during Easter and the summer.
In the evening, you can relax on the terrace of the restaurant enjoying the selection of international and regional dishes, as well as lovely sea views. For something more informal, there is a snack bar and a pizzeria. In July and August there is evening entertainment, including shows, parties and games.
For guests’ comfort and convenience, our accommodation options are spacious, well-equipped and feature sun terracing in some configurations. Nestled in serene and green emplacements, our mobile homes provide the perfect place to sleep, eat, rest and play while staying at Playa Tropicana.
The small, modern resort of Alcossebre is the nearest town to the campsite, and offers a choice of bars, restaurants and shops. There is a beach with direct access from the campsite, and there are many more delightful sandy beaches in the area including those at Torreblanca, Oropesa del Mar and Benicassim. Aside from the beaches, it is also worthwhile exploring the hidden coves along the rocky part of the coastline.
There are many places of interest in the area and a little further afield, include the Sierra de Irta National Park, full of hiking routes weaving through its coves, beaches and bays. The El Pinar Mountain, where you can enjoy spectacular sea views, is well worth the hike.
The nearest city is Valencia, and is definitely worth a day trip. Spain’s third largest city has streets lined with art nouveau buildings as well as Gothic and Renaissance monuments which beg discovery alongside its wonderful museums and shops.
