Don’t forget your holiday voucher and passport when you travel. If you are not a British or Irish citizen you’ll need to check the passport and visa regulations for the countries you want to visit.

We think personal travel insurance is essential for overseas bookings. Check that your insurance covers everything you need. Consider requesting a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in addition to your travel insurance to access reduced cost medical treatment if you need it.

Check the campsite page before you go for reception information about check in and check out.

When you get there

You can check in to a park or campsite with a Canvas representative at the Canvas Holidays reception between 4 and 6pm and check out at 10am. If you are on a campsite without a Canvas representative check in will be at main reception from 3pm and checkout between 8 and 10am.

Most parks and campsites allow you to use the campsite facilities if you arrive early, but not all. Check out our instructions for early and late arrivals.

Our campsite pages will let you know if a cleaning deposit and tourist tax charges are payable on arrival. Cleaning deposits are returned if your accommodation is left in the same clean condition. Tourist tax is a small fee which varies per park and campsite.

Your Canvas rep will be able to help with any questions you might have. If you are on a campsite with no Canvas rep you can contact the main reception. If you need further assistance we are here to help on 01 242 1901.

Travel Extras

We offer a linen and towel hire service at some campsites. Speak to our customer care team for a full list of what you can add to your booking before you go on holiday.
